XXV Congress of Urologists of Russia

The staff of the Department of Urology and the Research Institute of Uronephrology of SSMU presented innovative developments at the XXV Congress of Urologists of Russia.
Kazan hosted the XXV Anniversary Congress of the Russian Society of Urology, a key annual event for Russian experts in the field of urology, andrology and oncourology. The event also brought together representatives of related specialties. In total, more than 2.5 thousand urologists from the regions of Russia and foreign countries took part in the congress.
At the opening ceremony, Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of the efforts of the Russian Society of Urology for the successful implementation of the latest scientific achievements in everyday clinical practice.
The delegation of Saratov Medical University was headed by Honored Doctor of Russia, Head of the Department of Urology and Director of the Research Institute of Fundamental and Clinical Uronephrology of SSMU Vladimir Popkov. The participants included representatives of the Department of Urology: associate professors Roman Fomkin, Oleg Osnovin, Anton Rossolovsky, assistants Georgy Mezirov, Denis Durnov, Sofia Skriptsova, as well as employees of the urology clinic Alexey Stativko and Pavel Zaigralov.
At the congress, the clinicians of the Saratov School of Urology presented their innovative developments and the results of scientific research. The report "Genetic polymorphisms associated with the risk of prostate cancer" is presented as part of the "Priority 2030". This work was highly appreciated by experts and the audience, sparking a lively discussion, which indicates the high quality and relevance of the research.
The event's rich program made it possible to cover all the most pressing problems of the urological specialty in the context of advanced achievements, including the fields of artificial intelligence, telemedicine and digital technologies. The participants were presented the results of the latest fundamental research in urology, neurology and related fields, modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of urological, andrological, urogynecological, oncourological diseases, as well as innovations and startups.
