“Have some news worth sharing...”

Foreign postgraduate students, graduates and students from 22 near and far-abroad countries of 12 higher educational institutions of Belarus and Russia took part in the competition. The event was organized by the Belarusian State Economic University.

Students wrote essays on various topics: nature, ecology, travelling, understanding, intercultural dialogue, tolerance, art, profession, the idea of happiness, family, hobbies, etc. The competent jury highly appreciated the SSMU students’ works made under the guidance of the academic staff of the Russian and Latin languages department, Natalia Pavlova, Nadezhda Avdeeva, Elena Vedeneyeva. Malika Makhamadinova became the bronze medalist in the individual competition.

All the participants demonstrated excellent knowledge of the Russian language and won the awards in the following categories: “Relevant and significant topic” - Ilkhomjon Kholikov, “Sincerity in expressing thoughts” - Atharva Patil, Umud Rustamli, “Logic in revealing story information” - Sofia Murtuzaeva. Firdavsjon Babajanov and Prajakta Patil became the winners in the category “Best understanding of intercultural traditions and dialogue of cultures.”

Hemida Omar showed off her “Original narrative style,” and Natalie Khuder demonstrated “Precision in expressing thoughts.” The best “Philosophical approach to the topic” was carried out by Azim Danyarov. The winners in the category “Emotional expressiveness” were Asmaa Ameur and Vitaly Migalyov.
