Professional Skills Championship "Professionals"

Currently, the Saratov region is hosting the II Regional stage of the Professional Skills Championship "Professionals" in the"Medical and social care"competence.

This year 650 experts and 590 contestants in 82 competencies are taking part in the championship. The winners will represent the Saratov region at the federal stage of the championship.

For several days, the future professionals are undergoing serious tests. The purpose of the competition is to popularize working professions and improve the status and standards of professional training.

The Medical College of SSMU has been the organizer of the venue for the "Medical and social care" competence for many years. The venue was organized on the basis of the federal accreditation and simulation center of the SSMU. Its main expert was Nadezhda Savinova.

"TheProfessional Skills Championship has been held in the Saratov region since 2017. For the third year now, we have been organizing a working platform "Medical and social care" on the basis of the SSMU simulation center. There is wonderful equipment here, the work areas meet all the necessary requirements," says Nadezhda Savinova, "The contestants are all determined to win. The venue has a friendly, businesslike atmosphere. I would like to wish all participants and experts good luck!"

The Medical College teachers and representatives of practical healthcare became supervisors. In addition, a large number of volunteers and extras were involved at the sites, whose help proved invaluable in organizing the smooth and efficient operation of all stations.

This year a business program, as well as cultural, sports, and career guidance programs are being held at the venue of the "Medical and Social Care"competence within the framework of the Championship.

In addition to the direct presence, a large number of students from schools in Saratov and the region joined the live online broadcast organized by the SSMU Medical College.

During the visit to the working sites of the championship, the participants show great interest and make sure about choosing their future profession. To date, the championship movement will allow making a condition and a motivation system, ensuring the professional growth of young people by means of harmonizing the best practices and professional standards of organizations of the secondary vocational education system.

"This is a new experience for me. I’ve got a lot of interesting things, positive emotions and analysed my mistakes and in the future I will do my best to avoid them while working in my specialty. The experts here are competent and highly qualified, so I am sure that the points will be given honestly and the quality of training of all participants will be taken into consideration," said one of the contestants of the Championship.

The experts of the Championship noted the high level of training of the contestants and the material and technical equipment of the competition grounds.
