23 January 2025

Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovsky has for the first time entered the top 15% of the world's best higher education institutions according to the Global Aggregate Ranking - 2025.

This success reflects the high quality of the educational process, scientific research and international co-operation, which are priorities for SSMU.

‘Global Aggregate Ranking - 2025’ is a comprehensive study combining data from 13 authoritative global institutional rankings, such as QS, Times Higher Education, US News, Shanghai Ranking and “Three University Missions”. The rankings take into account a wide range of indicators, including academic reputation, teaching quality, research activity, international relations and impact on society.

A total of 3,987 higher education institutions from 140 countries are included in the ranking. Only 165 Russian universities were recognised among the leaders.

‘We are proud that our university is included in the list of the best universities in the world. This is the result of the work of our entire team, from teachers to students. We will continue to work on improving the quality of education and science in order to meet the highest standards’, - said Rector of SSMU Andrey Eremin.

SSMU's entry into the top 15 per cent of the world's best universities confirms the university's status as one of the leaders in medical education and research. This opens up new prospects for expanding international co-operation and attracting investments in scientific projects.
