SSMU is among the leaders of higher education in Russia

SSMU named after. V.I. Razumovsky remains one of the leaders in terms of target indicators within the admission campaign of academic year 2024/25. Last year, the university anticipatorily completed admission of applicants according to targeted quotas, making it one of the first in the country. Hundreds of applicants competed for places at the university, and such high interest is due not only to the deep and large-scale level of teaching, high-quality practical training at our own clinical bases of federal significance and extensive opportunities for scientific and social self-realization, but also to the successful SSMU early career guidance program “Medical Classes”. It is notable that today all regional districts are its participants.

“SSMU has always had a traditionally high competition for admission. Last year it reached the position of 10 applicants per a given number of seats. The amount of given applications for budgetary financed seats was almost 9 thousand,” – Rector Andrey Eremin notices. — According to the target quotas, the demand significantly exceeded the limit supply. There is Roman Busargin’s, the Governor’s initiative to conduct costly training of the students from the region to their subsequent return, turned out to be very timely and, it should be noted, innovative for the region.”

Applicants are also attracted by our own in-depth training program with the opportunity to choose an individual educational trajectory – “Doctor of the Future”. This intra-university project is aimed at first-year students with high scores, among whom participants are recruited on a competitive basis. In addition to an individual training plan, “Doctors of the Future” from the first days of study have the opportunity to be integrated into academic research, practical medicine and clinical development.

SSMU is not only the center of medical science and best clinical practice in Russia, but also continues to improve, expand training opportunities and introduce modern methods of working with students. For example, new specialties in the field of bioengineering and biotechnology, the enrollment of which opens as part of the upcoming 2024-2025 campaign, provide applicants with even more opportunities for professional growth and development.
